Meet Mrs. Bruner – Castle’s New Principal
Bridget Bruner, Castle Principal

Dear Castle Families,

I am honored and excited to announce that I have been named the new Principal of Castle Elementary School. During my time as the interim principal, I have truly enjoyed getting to know the Castle students, families and staff and I am delighted to become a permanent part of the Castle School community beginning July 1.

After graduating from the University of Northern Iowa with a BA in Secondary Math Education, I began my career in School District 622 as a math teacher. During the last 14 years I have also served as teacher mentor and instructional coach. I received both my Master’s degree and my Principal’s License from Saint Mary’s University and I am thrilled to take the next step in my career at Castle.

My husband Rob is a financial planner and together we have three children, 11-year-old TJ, 9-year-old Cav and 4-year-old Margo. We have an active family that loves playing sports and supporting our Minnesota teams.  When I am not with my family you will find me reading a book, connecting with friends or out for a jog.

I have spent the last six weeks getting to know what makes Castle such a unique and special place.  Castle is a school community dedicated to helping every student reach his or her full potential and I am committed to helping move Castle along that path of excellence.

One of the most important parts of being a principal is building solid relationships with students, families and staff. I plan to spend a lot of time in the hallways, classrooms and playground getting to know your students. I am hoping to connect with many of you at our community playground build on July 26th. In addition, if you ever a concern or question please do not hesitate to call or e-mail me.

Castle is a school that has many things to be proud of. I thank you for welcoming me into your school and allowing me to be a part of your students’ lives. I look forward to working as partners in providing an awesome elementary experience for your children.

Warmest Regards,

Bridget Bruner

Crocs and flip flops are too dangerous and we have had many scrapes and bruises. Students it is very important to bring all your items with you to lunch (jackets - tennis shoes) and remember our outside expectations : ***Please be careful on the equipment as it can get very slippery***Take Turns*** Stay in the boundaries***DO NOT hang on the basketball hoops*** PLEASE stay away from the classroom windows during recess - it is very disruptive for teachers and for students*** Line up when called***
