District improving technology infrastructure
E-mail delays will occur during this time

For the past year, the North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District has been in the process of updating its outdated technology infrastructure and installing Fiber between its buildings.

As part of the project, the district’s technology department is implementing a network redesign. Much of this work took place during the week of July 1 and e-mail delays are still occuring. The network outages affect district e-mail as well as other network systems within the district.

State releases AYP results
Several District 622 schools were taken off the statewide Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) list this year, and others saw big gains in the area of math. Despite these improvements, more work remains and District 622 is already planning school improvements for the 2008-2009 school year.
Lunch prices will increase by 10 cents next year

Beginning in September 2008, students will pay an additional 10 cents for their school breakfasts and lunches. The District 622 School Board approved the increase at its June 24 meeting.
