    Make an impact on Richardson Elementary in 2017-18 as a tutor with Minnesota Reading Corps or Minnesota Math Corps!


    Would you love to help children grow their reading or math skills and succeed in school? If your answer is yes, you can serve as a tutor with Minnesota Reading Corps or Minnesota Math Corps at Richardson Elementary.


    As a Literacy Tutor or Math Enrichment Tutor, you’ll use research-proven strategies to help Richardson Elementary students gain the reading or math skills they need to thrive in school and in life.


    Tutors come from many backgrounds and include recent high school and college grads, career changers, stay-at-home parents, and retirees. With extensive training, support from onsite coaches, and evidence-based strategies, Reading Corps and Math Corps tutors are well-equipped to change lives.  Additionally, Reading Corps and Math Corps tutors may earn a living allowance, education award, and federal student loan forbearance for their service.


    Last year, Minnesota Reading Corps and Minnesota Math Corps provided direct services to more than 30,000 children in more than 700 sites across the state. To learn how you, too, can make a difference as a Reading Corps or Math Corps tutor in 2017-18 at Richardson Elementary, visit

    Free Nutrition Services App available 

    A free school menu app is now available for ISD 622. See the daily menu as well as nutrition information, pictures and descriptions of each item offered. Connect to PayPams or apply for Free & Reduced Meal benefits.   • Welcome to Richardson Elementary School.   We appreciate you taking the time to visit our school website.  Richardson is a school rich in history and tradition. It is also a school moving forward to prepare its students for the future. Our staff, parents, and community volunteers work together to meet our goal of high achievement in a safe, learning environment.  

    Communication and collaboration with families is important to us and to the learning process.  You can expect regular communication from us regarding learning and behavior expectations and school events.  Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher if you have a question or concern.

    About Our School
    Our role at Richardson Elementary School is to develop citizens who can effectively and constructively function in an ever-changing democratic society.

    Richardson Elementary is nestled in a residential area of North St. Paul, Minnesota and houses approximately 500 students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.

    Our staff works hard to instill pride, responsibility and a love of learning in each of our students. We teach our students to function independently and responsibly in the community.

    We will:

    • Provide a challenging and enriched curriculum allowing for individual differences, and to maximize each student's potential.
    • Encourage a positive self-concept and respect for others.
    • Guide students toward skills necessary to think, reason, evaluate and function independently and responsibly.
    • Instill a desire for learning and discovering now, and in the future.
    • Continue to develop professionally and grow towards excellence.
