• SCHOOL CLOSING (Bad Weather / Emergencies)


    It is the policy of the School Board to keep school open as much as possible and to close school only when it is absolutely necessary. The closing of school will be determined by the inability of our school buses to travel safely or if an emergency exists. On days when we have a storm or immediately following a storm, we request that you listen for late start announcements on local news programs on tv, check local news websites, or check the District’s website (www.isd622.org).  If the school is closed, it will be announced before 8:00 a.m. by a phone call or text message.  If you do not hear a closing announcement you may assume that our buses will travel and that school is in session as usual.


    It is sometimes necessary, because of an emergency, to send children home during the school day. Please be sure your child knows where to go in these instances.


    Non-Attendance Days – Please refer to the district calendar and Panda Print for the dates of workshops, conferences, and vacations.
