    VS Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire Memorial, Eau Claire North, Hudson, LaCrosse Logan, New Richmond, St. Croix Central, Tartan

    The meet will be run the same as in past years under the following format:
    1. The meet is run relay style so that your 7th runner runs only against the 7th runner from the other schools, etc. With eight races, each participant has a chance for victory.
    2. There will be one division and one division. The top two teams in each division will receive a trophy. The five best times of your eight runners totaled together will determine the team standings.
    3. The top four individuals in each varsity race will receive medals.
    4. We will hold two separate junior varsity races for the boys and girls who did not qualify for the top eight races. Places 1 through 15 will receive ribbons in these runs.
    5. All of the races, boys and girls, will be held on the same 5000m course. The time
    schedule for this meet is as follows:

    Entry Limits:
    Varsity races have a maximum of seven runners per team. All other races have unlimited entries. All runners must be in at least 7th grade.

    Classes:
    We follow Minnesota State High School League for class designation. Schools outside of Minnesota with enrollments of 500 or more in grades 10-12 will be in class AA and less than 500 will be in class A.

    Site and Directions:
    Enger Park Golf Course, 18th Ave. West and Skyline Parkway, Duluth. Take I-35 North or South to EXIT 255A on the left toward 21st Ave W. Go about 1.5 miles to the stop light. Turn left onto Piedmont Avenue. Take the 1st left onto N 24th Ave W. Take the 1st left onto W Skyline Parkway up the hill to golf course.

    Bus Parking:
    The parking lot on skyline Parkway is available for team vehicles only. Spectators must park on the road adjacent to the golf course.

    Long sleeved Swain T-shirts sold at $20.00, short sleeved $15.00. Get them early we always run out…

    • PLEASE STAY OUT OF THE ROPED OFF AREAS–especially the course
    • CLEAN UP CAMP AREAS BEFORE LEAVING
    • PETS, GRILLS, FRISBEES, OR OTHER NON- ESSENTIAL ITEMS ARE NOT ALLOWED–LEAVE THEM AT HOME
    • TENTS SHOULD BE SET UP IN THE ROUGH OF THE 18TH FAIRWAY
    • LEAD BIKER IS FOR CROWD CONTROL ONLY — HE WILL NOT ALWAYS TAKE THE BEST LINE

    Trainer: A certified trainer from the Institute for Athletic Medicine will be on-site on race day beginning at 2:00 p.m.

    Shirt Sales: Shirt and sweatshirts will be available for sale at this year’s meet with a special logo designed for the meet. A separate flyer has been provided that you can duplicate and send home with your athletes to encourage sales. These are printed on-site by Northwest Designs so buyers select their garment and have it ironed on at the meet. Separate team rosters are also available to iron on the back. Revenue from these helps defray costs of the meet.

    Please be sure you and your athletes do not have cell phones, iPods, and so on anywhere near the race course, starting areas, finish areas, or competitors from 2:40 pm when clerking begins until the final runner finishes in the last race.

    Parking: Parking requires the purchase of a daily ($7) or seasonal ($30) pass from the park. Please inform your parents and spectators of this so they have the funds necessary to enter the park.

    Pets: We strongly request that you have your spectators leave their pets at home.

    Toys: We request that footballs, soccer balls, Frisbees, etc. not be brought to or used at the park. We’ve had incidents with runners nearly hit by thrown items. Athletes on Once we begin clerking the first race, all competitors for all races need to clear the entire the

    Course: course and trails. We’ve had incidents with runners warming up for later races blocking runners in the active race. So, warmups need to happen away from the trails and off the actual courses once the meet has begun.
