• Becoming a Volunteer
We appreciate your interest in becoming a volunteer. The application process includes a volunteer application (individual or group) for all applicants. Reference checks and background checks are required in some situations.

    Reference checks
Reference checks are completed for any volunteer that is new to our district and/or does not have an existing district connection (parent, grandparent, staff member, alumni, etc.). Please include two references on your application and provide both a phone and email address.

    Background checks
Background checks are required for some volunteer assignments. In your application, please give consent for a background check if you will be volunteering for something that requires one. If the assignment you are interested in requires a background check and you are placed in that volunteer assignment, you will be sent a link to complete a background check authorization form at that time. This link will come from Trusted Employees and expires in 7 days. If you miss the 7-day deadline, please contact Amber Walter at awalter@isd622.org and she can send you another link. The cost of background check will be covered by School District 622 and will be good for two years.
