Hello Eagle Point Community!  My name is Shawn Bromeland and I am the principal of this fantastic school.  I have had the privilege of calling Eagle Point home for the past 11 years and am looking forward to the changes of creating a new community with the addition of many new staff, students and families.

I began my teaching career in Minneapolis in 1997 at the Urban League Street Academy.  From there, I moved to St. Paul, where I taught English at Highland Park Junior High School.  I was there for 8 years, until I made the move into administration.  I spent five years as the Assistant Principal of Maplewood Middle School, which helped prepare me for the role of Principal of Eagle Point.

I have been married to my wife, Sara, for twenty years and we have two children, Chloe and Collin.  Chloe is 18 and a senior, while Collin is 15 and a freshman at Mahtomedi High School.  One of the great joys in life is seeing how each child is an individual and has talents in so many areas.  Chloe is passionate about Softball, playing her violin, and activities around Equity and Leadership.  Collin is active in archery, drama, and scouting while being an avid yo-yoer.

I am looking forward to meeting all of our new students who will be helping to create our new school and culture.
