NEW Health Account Vendor for July 1, 2022: MEDSURETY
An email was sent to employees' personal email addresses in June with the following steps to set up access to MEDSURETY's online employee portal. Please log into your online portal at www.medsurety.com to review your account and access your funds. You will want to click on Login, then Employee Login. If this is your first time logging in, please enter the following login credentials under Existing User and set up your account. User Name: Your last name and last 4 digits of your SSN (ex: smith0101) Password: SetUp01! (The password is case sensitive). Debit cards were mailed in June to employees' home addresses.

How to Make Elections: SmartBen, the District's online benefits system
SmartBen is a secure site at https://isd622.smartben.net and is used for New Hire Enrollment, Life Event Changes and Open Enrollment elections. Please see the instructions below to assist you in completing enrollment. It is also a resource for insurance plan summaries, information, and forms for all benefit plans such as the Vision Service Plan (VSP), Delta Dental, Life Insurance and more. After you log into SmartBen, go to "Plans" at the top of the page.
If you are adding dependents to the benefit plans, you will need to provide documentation verifying their relationship to you. For example, if you are adding a spouse, you will need to provide a copy of your marriage certificate or redacted recent tax filing. If you are adding a dependent, you will need to provide documentation such as a birth certificate, adoption record, child support order etc. For more information go to www.isd622.org/lifeevent.

Rate update for July 1, 2022: The District health insurance rates will have a 0% overall rate change effective July 1, 2022. Note this is an overall percentage and there will be slight changes to the specific plan rates. Due to the District’s health plan increase in claims and costs, the rate for this year should have increased by 2.6%. The Insurance Committee recommended and the Board approved utilizing dollars from the Self-Insured Health Fund to provide a lower rate for the 2022-2023 year. The District remains mindful of relying on the Self-Insured Health Fund to lower rates and is optimistic members will continue to be conscientious health care consumers, resulting in lower than expected claims and costs next year.
