    Frequently Asked Questions

    Q: I have forgotten my user name and/or my password. What do I do?

    A:  Visit the Parent Portal Login screen and follow the steps to have your account information sent to you.
     

    Q: Why can’t I call my child’s school to obtain my password?

    A: Account information is never given over the phone. Follow the instructions listed above.

    Q:  Can I use my mobile device to access the Parent Portal?
     
    A:  Yes.  Additional information can be found on the Parent Portal Login page.
     

    Q: My child’s grades have not been updated for the past week.  Who do I contact?

    A: Grade posting should occur within ten school days following the due date of any assignment, project or assessment.  Parents are encouraged to address this in the following order:

    • Discuss the issue with your child
    • Discuss the issue with the teacher via email or personally. A link to the teacher’s email address may be found on the student schedule in the Parent Portal
    • Discuss the issue with the Administrator in your child’s building
     Q: Why do some classes have many assignments listed and others do not?
     
     A: No two courses are alike.  The volume of assignments and the speed at which they are corrected will vary from course to course and teacher to teacher.

      

    Q: What should I do if I believe my child’s attendance is not accurate?

     
    A: Parents are encouraged to address this in the following order:
    • Discuss the issue with your child
    • Ask your child to discuss the absence with the teacher
    • If your child has been unable to resolve the concern, contact the teacher directly
     

    Q: What is the best way to contact the classroom teacher?

     
    A: There is a link to the teacher’s email address on the student’s schedule in the Parent Portal.

      

    Q: My child will move to a different ISD 622 school next year. Do I need to reapply?

     
    A: Once a Portal account is created for your student, that account will remain active at any ISD 622 school utilizing the Parent Portal. There is no need to reapply.
