    About Tartan Arena 
    Tartan Arena is located next to Tartan High School at 740 Greenway Ave N. in Oakdale. Tartan Arena is a one sheet facility and is home to the Tartan High School Boys, North Tartan Girls High School and of the Tartan Area Youth Hockey Association. The Arena opened to the public in February of 1997 and was built under a joint powers agreement with Independent School District 622, the City of Maplewood, and the City of Oakdale.
     
    Tartan Arena is open for the 2022/2023 season.  Please email  Eric Edhlund for any ice requests. For available ice time go to rinkfinder.com.

  • Public Open Skating 

    Open skate is offered on Wednesday nights at Polar ice arena from 5:30 - 7:00 pm on the following dates*:

    March 8, 15, 22, 29 * 6:00pm - 7:00pm

    April 5**, 12, 19, 26 

    May 3, 10, 17

    Cost: $6.00 per person (cash only at this time)

    Bring your own skates and make sure they are sharpened. We do not offer rentals or sharpening at this time. 

    ** Skate with the Easter Bunny! Come enjoy complimentary skating and get your picture with the Easter Bunny April 5th.
