• Fusion Drumline

The Fusion Drumline is an enjoyable extra-curricular activity for students in grades 7-12 throughout all of ISD 622.  We are a percussion group that performs inside during the winter months.  Our show is a combination of marching, acting and musical performances.  Instruments played include snare, tenor, and bass drums; mallet instruments such as marimbas, xylophones, and vibraphones; electric and bass guitar, cymbals, piano and other percussion instruments. We compete in the MPA (Minnesota Percussion Association) sanctioned events, as well as playing at some school events.

Rehearsals begin in October, and prior experience is not required.  Students rehearse each Tuesday and Thursday evening with some Saturday rehearsals beginning in November.  The competition season generally runs from February to early April. Family members of drumline students are a part of the Fusion Drumline Parent Booster Organization, which raises most of the operating money for the group.
