Dear 622 families,
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! Staggered start dates continue to provide a smooth transition for our 6th and 9th-grade students and a successful start for all students. Classes will begin as follows:
- Monday, Aug. 31 – Grades 1-6 and Grade 9
- Tuesday, Sept. 1 – Grades 7-8 and 10-12, Webster Program
- Wednesday, Sept. 2 – Kindergarten
- Tuesday, Sept. 8 – ECSE and Pre-K

As noted on the left, District 622 voters will be asked to vote for an increase to our operating levy on the November 3 ballot. Watch for more information in district communications or visit 622forward.org.
All District 622 students receive free breakfast and lunch each school day. Students only pay for additional meals, à la carte items, and milk with bagged lunches.
Your student’s principal will share additional back-to-school information. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for a great school year!

Application for Educational Benefits can reduce fees
Breakfast and lunch are free for all Minnesota students. Students only pay for extras, such as milk with a bagged lunch, an additional entrée, or items from the à la carte menu.
Even if you don’t think your family will qualify, please complete the Application for Educational Benefits. The number of approved applications helps District 622 receive important funding that supports students and school programs.
Families who qualify may also receive discounts on athletics and activity fees, swimming lessons, driver education, Community Education classes and other eligible programs
