The Board of Education of Independent School District 622 - North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale will have:

  1. Number of Members:  Seven Elected members
  2. Term of Office: Four (4) years
  3. Qualifications: Candidates must be United States citizens and registered voters in School District 622
  4. Reimbursement: Members shall be reimbursed by District  for expenses incurred while conducting Board business by submitting the District expense report to the Superintendent

       5.     Board members shall be paid a stipend as approved at the organizational meeting of each year.

6.     Protection: the District shall maintain adequate insurance to protect the District and its Board of Education against loss because of fire, damage to school property, loss to other property, or general liability resulting as a responsibility of the District, and save harmless its Board of Education and staff while acting on its behalf.

A vacancy on the Board of Education occurs when a member a) dies, b) resigns, c) ceases to be a resident of the District, or d) is unable to serve on such Board because of illness or prolonged absence from the District.  Vacancies shall be filled in accordance with Minnesota law and MSBA guidelines.
