Community GardensLocal households have an opportunity to grow fresh produce in a community garden that is conveniently located close to home. Though each garden has a slightly different design and focus, the common thread is "growing community through gardening." Each garden provides gardening and educational opportunities for adults and youth.
COVID-19 Information for Gardeners
The Cowern Community Garden is located on the former Cowern Orchard and Habitat land. The orchard has been restored to fruit bearing and the garden is divided into individual plots that can be rented for the growing season. Our mission is to create a community garden setting that will foster involvement, leadership and service opportunities for students, families, and neighbors, provide an outdoor classroom to support student learning and allow families to grow their own food and reconnect with the earth.
