Danny Larson began his coaching career at St. Thomas Academy as the Freshman Baseball Coach. During that season, St. Thomas Academy advanced to the State Tournament and won the Consolation Championship. After that season he then moved with St. Thomas' Varsity Coach to Irondale High School. Larson started as Head B-Squad Coach as well as the Head Coach of Irondale's Tri-City Maroon Legion Baseball team. In his first season at Irondale, Larson helped turn around Irondale's program and point it in the right direction. As the Head Legion Coach, Larson brought Tri-City Maroon from the ground up finishing in 2nd place in the district for two consecutive years with a combined record of 32-17. In his first year Larson was awarded the 4th District Coach of the Year Award. In his second year at Irondale Larson was the Head JV Coach and Varsity Assistant. This past summer Larson led Tri-City Maroon all the way to the sub-state championship, falling just short of the Legion State Tournament. Larson is also a Club Coach and Instructor with Minnesota S.W.A.T. and is currently entering his third season as the 15U Coach. Larson graduated from Bethel University and also was a graduate from Mahtomedi High School where he was a varsity basketball and baseball player. Larson was apart of the Zephyrs 2015 State Tournament team. As a baseball player, Larson spent most of his time at first base but he was often used as a versatile player playing all around the field for the Zephyrs. Coach Larson is excited to bring a new energy to North High School's baseball program and is looking forward to leading the Polars.
