     Head Coach: Cornelius Gilleyelen

    Cornelius Gilleylen has been named the new Head Boys Basketball Coach at North St Paul High School. Cornelius is a Mississippi native who brings more than 12 years of coaching experience to the boys’ basketball program. He spent the last five years as an assistant at Eden Prairie High School where they just came off a record-breaking season finishing 28-0. Before his tenure at Eden Prairie, Cornelius spent several seasons coaching on the collegiate level and getting his first taste as a head high school coach where he finished 25-8 with the Aberdeen Bulldogs (MS).                                                                                          Cornelius is a 2007 graduate of St. Edward’s University (Austin, TX) where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. As a two-year letter winner for the Hilltoppers, he set the single season record for most steals, received defensive player of the year award, and shot an impressive 93% from the free throw line. He also helped the Hilltoppers advance to the NCAA tournament for the first time in school history while winning back to back conference championships.  Cornelius earned his master’s degree in Sports Administration from East Central University (Ada, OK) and is currently pursuing his PHD in Sport Athletic Management.
