8th Grade Spanish
¡Bienvenidos! / Welcome to 8th grade Spanish I Class!
I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to teach your student Spanish this year. Although I have lived in the United States for over a decade, I am originally from Madrid, Spain. After I finished college, I taught Spanish to foreign students for several years. In 2003, I moved to Paris, France, to teach Spanish at two different High Schools. It was a terrific experience!
The desire to experience different educational systems, as well as different countries and cultures, brought me to the United States in 2004. For four years, I taught Spanish and French at a Public Middle School in Omaha, NE. I truly loved my time teaching Middle Schoolers in Nebraska!
After those four years, I moved to Minnesota. My teaching experience here started at Richfield High School where I taught Spanish & French for two years. I then moved to ISD622, where I taught Spanish at Tartan for five years. As if going full circle, I went back to Middle School: two years at Maplewood, and now, here at Skyview! Go Hawks!
I love languages and learning about different cultures, and I am very excited to lead my students on their Spanish journey. One of my goals is to also instill in them the love for Spanish and its rich culture.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have throughout the year. I will do everything I can to make sure your student is provided with the best opportunities for learning. Let me know if there are specific issues that you would like to address that will help us all to a successful year.
It is going to be an awesome year!
