    The day you’ve been looking forward to all summer is nearly here!  Your Sixth Grade Transition Day is scheduled for Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 8:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. Your sixth grade teachers are eager to meet you and have a fun day planned for you.  

     

    When you arrive at the Sixth Grade Transition Day, go directly to your SOAR (advisory) class.  This information will either be provided to you in another mailing mid-August or will be given when you arrive that day.  Skyview staff along with our 8th Grade Hawk Mentors will be in the halls to help you find your way.  In SOAR you will meet new students, get your schedule, practice opening your locker, and assemble your ever so important BINDER!

    Things to bring with you to SOAR on the Sixth Grade Transition Day

    • 3-inch Binder

    • Dividers to organize your binder

    • Pencil Pouch (writing utensils included)

    • Loose Leaf Paper

    • Complete the following and send with on Transition Day:

      • Health Emergency Card

      • Internet Permission Form

     

    Other important notes to help you make the most of your Sixth Grade Transition Day

    • All sixth graders will be picked up at their bus stops exactly 1 hour later than their typical bus pick-up times.  Be at the bus stop at 5 minutes early, bus routes are posted on the district website at www.isd622.org

    • Bus riders will board the buses at approximately 12:45 p.m. to return home.

    • Walkers should arrive at Skyview by 8:45 a.m.

    • A snack/drink will be provided on this day.

     

    Be well rested and ready to explore and enjoy a fun day with your fellow sixth graders.  We hope you are as excited about this day as we are.  See you on August 23rd!
