I began my Tartan teaching adventure in 2015 after a decade of teaching in Wisconsin. In addition to teaching, I am the co-advisor to the Tartan Student Council and the Tartan Robotics Team. I hold a bachelor's degree in physics and chemistry education, a master's degree in science curriculum and instruction and have completed my administrative certifications. I am very excited about this school year and look forward to sharing the wonders of science with my students.

Schoology: I will be using Schoology this year in my courses to provide students and parents with the appropriate information, resources, and support systems to successfully navigate the expectations of the course. Students will benefit from being able to manage their calendar and plan proactively for upcoming projects, assessments and events, as well as gain access to additional resources and support from the teacher and their peers. Schoology will provide parents with the ability to be an active participant in their student’s learning, as well as an outlet for additional communication and support.

The following naming conventions will be used on the Schoology calendar to help students identify when assignments are due and when tests are coming up. Formative assessments (homework, classwork) will start with “FA” and followed with the title of the assessment. Summative assessments (tests, unit projects) will start with “SA” and followed with the title of the assessment.
