Nyob Zoo, Hello! Welcome to 2nd grade!

My name is Ms. Lao, and this will be my 8th year in education and my third year as a 2nd grade teacher. I graduated from Minnesota State University of Mankato with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and ESL. In May 2021, I also graduated with my Master’s in Educational Administration from UW-Superior.

Outside of school, my husband and I enjoy exploring the world with our son. Visiting different zoos, traveling to the sunny beaches of Southern California, and going on adventures with our relatives are a few of the things we do during the summertime. During the school year, we spend many of our days outside exploring nature, going for walks, learning about science, reading, and playing together.

I am excited to be your child’s teacher this year! I have dreamed of being an educator since I was in Kindergarten! I absolutely enjoy helping children to discover their own passions and strengths, while preparing them to be college and career-ready. I believe in providing high-quality social, emotional and academic education to meet the needs of each child. I look forward to our year full of learning, exploration and fun!

Please contact me if you have any questions about our classroom.
