Mrs. MiklausichPrincipalEmail: email@example.comPhone: 651-748-6510I’m excited to be joining the Maplewood Middle School Community as Principal. I’ve been a part of the ISD #622 family for my entire career as an educator, and this district is my “home.”
I began my teaching career at Cowern Elementary School over 20 years ago. I taught third, fourth, and fifth graders at Cowern until my move to John Glenn Middle School as the Dean of Students this past year. The relationships I’ve built with students, parents, and the community have stayed with me for years. Some of my students are now doctors, lawyers, soldiers, teachers, and parents. Our students are literally changing the world and making it a better place. I am proud to help “grow” our children into amazing adults who are realizing their individual dreams.
I am fortunate to have an amazing family. My husband, Jim, is the principal at Richardson Elementary School in our district. Our son, Brandon, just graduated from the University of St. Thomas in May and is beginning his career in business. We are so proud of him! I also come from a family of educators. My mom is a retired teacher, and my sister teaches first grade in my hometown of Cloquet, Minnesota. My dad is a retired heavy equipment operator, and I have three amazing nephews.
I love what I do and am passionate about children and learning. I feel lucky to spend my days doing rewarding work and making a difference in the lives of children. At Maplewood Middle School, we strive to ensure the success of all students by recognizing the uniqueness and individual needs of every student. The “Mustang Staff” works tirelessly to ensure that all students, regardless of background, ethnicity, or family dynamics, are successful. We accept nothing less than success for every student!
I’m looking forward to reconnecting with my Cowern students and families this year as well as meeting all the students and families of the Maplewood Middle School Community. Please stop in anytime and as often as possible. I’m excited to meet every member of our community!Sincerely,Jill Miklausich
