Along with Sarah Hiniker I teach science in 6th grade. This will be my 24th year at Maplewood. Before this I taught 6 years in Rialto California (60 miles east of Los Angeles). I was born and raised in St. Cloud, attended college at Montana State, Bozeman and St. Cloud State, completing degrees in fish and wildlife management and secondary science education. While I have spent most of my career teaching life science to seventh graders I have also taught a few years of earth sciences and the last 9 years teaching physical science. My career is very much aligned with my interests, all things science, technology, and learning. Teaching allows me to share this enthusiasm and hopefully, I can instill a curiosity and drive to pursue with your children. I also enjoy fishing, photography, and gadgets.
