Early Childhood Screening
Early Childhood Screening is for children ages 3-5 and is required by the State of Minnesota before entering public kindergarten.
A screening appointment is required to be scheduled before entering District 622 Preschool.
Early Childhood Screening is a free and simple check of how your child is developing and growing. It is also a good resource to learn about other opportunities in your community to support you and your family. During the screening, your child will complete age appropriate activities with a trained professional and consists of the following components:
- Cognitive development
- Large and small muscle development
- Social and emotional development
- Vision and hearing
- Height and weight
- Health history
- Immunization review
