World Languages
District 622 offers French, Spanish, and American Sign Language in secondary schools. Students can take three years of French or Spanish and then take even more advanced College in the Schools (CIS) French or Spanish classes. Heritage language classes are also offered for high school students who speak Spanish at home. Students who wish to learn a world language can begin in grade 8 and continue into high school.

Multilingual Learners
The Multilingual Learners program values the strengths that our multilingual learners (MLs) bring to District 622. While multilingual learners are learning English, they are also enhancing their first language skills and building up other languages.
Dual Language
Dual Language Immersion is a way to engage in academic and social-emotional learning while acquiring another language at the same time. Prior language exposure or knowledge is not required for enrollment.
