Independent School District 622 follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this as a part of hosting services' analytics. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement on the website, and gather demographic information.

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
In accordance with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Independent School District 622 has designated certain information as directory information. This information is considered public information which may be released from the school district without your prior consent. Please inform your school building in writing that any or all of your student’s directory information should not be released without your prior consent. The following information is considered directory information:
The student’s name and age;
Parent’s name, address, and telephone number;
The student’s major field of study and class designation (i.e. first grade, tenth grade);
The student’s participation in officially recognized activities or sports;
The weight and height of members of athletic teams; and
Dates of attendance (period of time during which a student was enrolled in an educational agency or institution, i.e. academic year, spring semester).
Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.
Independent School District 622 does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best to promptly remove such information from our records.
