Chromebook/Device Information & Support

We are excited to be able to offer our students a 1:1 device experience for the 2022-2023 school year. We hope this document will provide information and support.

  • District 622 purchased enough devices for every student in grades K-12 to have their own, thanks to a generous grant from 3M and from federal Coronavirus funds.
  • All students should be using their District 622-issued device for both in-person and online learning.
  • Technology support is only provided for district-owned devices.

Schoology

District 622 uses Schoology, an integrated learning management solution that provides course management, mobile learning, and support for system-wide communication. Schoology enables our students, parents, and teachers to engage with learning materials and their school community from the classroom and beyond.

With Schoology, students can digitally submit homework assignments, review grades, participate in interactive discussions, receive announcements and feedback, take tests, write academic blogs, and more.

As a parent, you will be able to view your child’s activity within the platform. You and your child will be given login credentials. Student progress and activity will be monitored by faculty to ensure a safe, secure, and controlled environment.

Campus Student

North St Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale Schools uses the Campus Student Information System for students grades K-12 to collect student data while also allowing parents to view the records of their children, including grades, schedule, and attendance. Rights to Campus Parent will be granted to parents or guardians of currently enrolled elementary, middle and high school students.

Access to the Campus Parent is a privilege, not a right. The District reserves the right to deny access to anyone and to add or delete functions from Campus Parent at any time. Users of Campus Parent are required to adhere to the following:

  • Users will act in a responsible, ethical and legal manner.
  • Users will not attempt to harm or destroy the school or the district’s data or networks.
  • Users will not attempt to access data or any account owned by another user.
  • Users will not use the Parent Portal for any illegal activity, including violation of Data Privacy laws. Anyone found to be in violation of these laws may be subject to civil and/or criminal prosecution.
  • Users who identify a security problem with Campus Parent must notify the North St Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District immediately.

Note: Step-parents or Guardians that do not have legal custody of a child will not be granted Campus Parent rights unless a copy of legal documentation is provided.

Campus Parent Instructions

Campus Parent provides real-time access to student information, including:

  • Announcements
  • Assignments
  • Attendance
  • Grades
  • Schedules
  • and More (Address, Health, Transportation, etc.)
  • Actual options may vary by school and grade level.

If you have more than one student, you can toggle on the upper right-hand corner to change students.

Campus Parent is also used for families to provide Annual Updates of student and family information. This is available August-November and required for each student.

Parents do not need to reapply every year, nor do they need to reapply when their student progresses to another ISD 622 school.

Campus Parent Portal accounts are available only to adults indicated as “Guardian” on the student registration.

Internet Use by Students

Access to the Internet enables students to explore libraries, databases, and other resources around the world, enhancing their education. The use of the Internet will be related to learning activities, established curriculum, or officially sanctioned extra-curricular activities.

District 622 reserves the right to monitor content and use of information networks, including personal files and e-mail files of students, and to take appropriate disciplinary action when violations occur. Users should expect only limited privacy in the contents of personal files in the school district systems.

A parent/guardian signed District 622 Chromebook/Device User Agreement form will be required by each student to be allowed access to the District’s wireless network.
