• Approval Criteria 

    1. District 622 will distribute e-flyers from:
      1. Local, non-profit organizations offering enrichment (academic, social and/or physical) activities/events/classes/resources within District 622;
      2. For-profit organizations only when District 622 determines the e-flyer meets the same criteria for non-profit organizations in 1(a), and the event or activity is not offered for proprietary reasons.
    2. The district reserves the right to deny the posting of e-flyers that do not meet the criteria outlined in #1, directly competes with district programs or activities, and/or are not suitable for the school environment due to content that is vulgar, obscene, discriminatory or harassing; constitutes hate speech; is contrary to the health/safety of students; promotes illegal activity; violates district policies, rules or regulations; promotes or is hostile to any religion (however, materials from a religious organization will not be denied if the materials comply with all other criteria in these guidelines and do not proselytize or promote a religion); or will create a material and substantial disruption.

    To request materials be considered for approval, follow the steps below. You will be notified of the status of your request. Once approved, your materials will be emailed to parents and posted online. Paper flyers will not be distributed.

    NOTE: ISD 622 no longer distribute hard-copy flyers directly to students in classrooms. However, some schools may still offer flyers in their school offices for walk-in parents, or on a bulletin board. You may contact a school directly to provide 10-15 office copies for use in a literature rack or other file as determined by the school.

    How to submit a flyer

    1. Community organizations requesting approval for distribution of materials must do so through www.peachjar.com. Click Register in the top right corner to create an account. After registering, click Send a Flyer under the My Flyers heading.
    2. Important: A disclaimer will be added to approved flyers indicating This program is not sponsored by School District 622. Approval to distribute flyers is a community service and does not imply endorsement. (This does not apply to District 622 or Community Education sponsored programs)
    3. Flyers must be submitted as a letter-sized PDF. There are e-flyer templates available on Pearchjar.com under My Flyers. Download this Tip Sheet: Guide to E-Flyer Success.pdf
    4. Flyers are approved and emailed on Tuesday afternoon. E-flyers must be submitted by NOON on Tuesday to be included in the weekly delivery. Make sure the post date is set to "Immediately" or the Tuesday on which you the flyer to go out.

    All materials uploaded to Peachjar will be automatically submitted to the Communications Office. Communications staff will review the material and approve or deny based on the criteria above.

    Cost involved in posting an e-flyer

    If your organization offers free services to our students and families, you’ll be able to post your district-approved flyers for free once per month. When setting up your account, you'll need to call Peachjar at 858.997.2117x130 to create a free account. 

    If you charge families for your activities, Peachjar will charge you a fee for the distribution service. Find out more at Peachjar.com.
