Eight District 622 Schools Recognized for Success

Eight schools in District 622 were recognized by the Minnesota Department of Education for being in the top five percent in the state for achievement in several areas. The areas measured were math achievement, reading achievement, progress toward English language proficiency, math progress, reading progress, four-year graduation rate, or consistent attendance.

North Star, the state’s new accountability system, is focused on equity and ensuring all students are successful, particularly those in underserved student populations, including: economically and disadvantaged students, students from major racial and ethnic groups, children with disabilities, and English learners.

We are pleased to celebrate the following achievements:

  • Skyview Elementary: Reading Progress for Asian students and Consistent Attendance for Asian Students
  • Weaver Elementary: Consistent Attendance for Asian Students
  • Webster Elementary: Consistent Attendance for Asian Students
  • Carver Elementary: Math Progress for Asian Students and Consistent Attendance for Asian Students
  • Skyview Middle: Consistent Attendance for English Language Students
  • Eagle Point Elementary: Math Progress for Asian Students, Math Progress for English Learners, and Consistent Attendance for Asian Students
  • John Glenn Middle: Consistent Attendance for Asian Students
  • Richardson Elementary: Consistent Attendance for Asian Students

Sites will retain these distinctions until the 2021-22 school year.
