Dear Tartan High School Families and Community, Welcome to the 2018-19 school year!
Over the past two years, I have had the pleasure of learning and growing with so many wonderful and talented Tartan students, staff, and families. As the school year draws nearer, I am looking forward to September 4th, when our building will be filled with young scholars ready to tackle another year of growth and learning.
At Tartan we provide a challenging curriculum that serves a wide range of student interests. Our staff recognize that in order to be successful in school, our students need support from home, school and the community. As a partner in your child’s education, we all share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities. We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that they:
1. Attend school daily and arrive on time
2. Share his/her school experiences with you
3. Inform you if he/she needs additional support in a class or subject area
4. Know that you expect him/her to succeed in school and explore college and career options
The high school years are a critical time for students and families. The Tartan staff and I look forward to working with all of you to make this year successful. I look forward to building productive partnerships with you as we carry on Tartan’s tradition of academic success and excellence. Please feel free to stop by at any time. My door is always open and I welcome the opportunity to learn more about you and what I can do to support your child’s learning, growth, and development.
