A Brown University study of Meals on Wheels customers (2015) found that customers reported the following after signing up for Meals on Wheels:

  • Improvement in mental health (i.e. anxiety)
  • Reductions in worrying about remaining at home
  • Improvement in self-rated health
  • Reductions in the rate of falls
  • Reductions in feelings of isolation and loneliness
